I really can't stand arrogant artists. Those who promote themselves in a manner that comes off as pretentious just really rub me the wrong way. There are some who actually put on cards and websites "investment art"...what the hell is that all about? Don't get me wrong, I am all about promoting oneself as and work, but there is really no need or room for fluff. Just tell us what it is that your promoting (i.e. your concept, if there is one, or if your representational, abstact with a focus on color/form, what have you). I have seen people who have shown in European countries who say crap like " You don't have to go to Europe to see ____________'s work..." that is just tacky to me. If you can't let your work speak for itself then maybe you shouldn't be creating it.
